“ Exploring and revisiting ideas that have interested, frightened, and intrigued me since I was a child, in my work I try to relate the impalpable grandeur of imagination. Painting on multiple formed layers of resin and acrylic paint, allows me to create true 3D compositions that I feel best express how I visualize mentally. The surreal manipulation of images of nature, humanity, and the universe at large represent the interconnectedness of life as well as the visual and metaphysical associations of memories and beliefs. At the center of my work lies a drive to encourage connection between individuals as well as a contemporary aesthetic that challenges the boundaries between the physical and ethereal.’

About The Artist
Landon Carter is an emerging contemporary surrealist born in Charleston, SC. A self taught artist, Landon combines unorthodox techniques combining painting and sculpture to create artworks with incredible depth and non traditional form. Exploring the interconnectedness of life and personal expression by manipulating forms of nature and humanity, his artwork aims to sever division between individuals, facilitate freedom of expression, and challenge the limits that shape western culture. Since entering the professional art scene in 2020, he has displayed work independently as well as in galleries and shows throughout the eastern United States. Now working out of his studio in Brooklyn, NY
